Karen Newnham

Karen, an ordained and experienced Baptist minister who grew up in the BBC youth group, is married to Bruce and has three children and several grandchildren. Over a period of 22 years, Karen and Bruce served in Bangladesh, Malawi, China and Kazakhstan. In 2003 Karen took on the role of Director of Human Resources with Global Interaction. Her responsibilities include training new and serving staff; processing applicants for service; developing and implementing procedures and policies relating to staff welfare; debriefing staff when they return from cross-cultural service; and informing others about the work of Global Interaction. Her role in Global Interaction is critical and exacting. Please keep her in your prayers.

Matt and Linsey Painter

Matt and Linsey met whilst studying at the Bible College of Victoria, where Matt trained as a mission aviation pilot. They spent 2005 in Arnhem Land as short term staff with MAF and their desire to pursue Christian ministry amongst remote communities was affirmed. Matt and Linsey have now completed two terms in PNG, serving in the Western Province. A land of isolation, in many cases MAF is the only practical way for communities to access medical care, education and church or community development resources. Together with Ned and Jack, their two young sons, they are excited to be returning to PNG for their third term. Matt will continue to fly aircraft in the service of remote communities which are in great need of physical and spiritual transformation.

Peter and Anke Kutschker

Peter, in his concern for German speaking people who do not know Jesus, travelled to Europe and has been engaged in a tent-maker ministry of church planting. He met and married Anke and Ella Marlene and Julian Ben have since been born to them. Peter, an engineer, is employed by a telecom and, with Anke, engages in a street evangelism ministry in Kiel in his free time. Pray for their ministry and their life and witness as a family.
